This Buchanan homeowner was done fighting mulch — the constant top-offs, the weeds, the mess. They wanted something cleaner and more durable, so we redesigned their landscape beds from the ground up.
What We Did
We started by refreshing the concrete landscape edging to restore clean, defined lines around the beds. From there, we laid down non-woven geotextile fabric across the entire footprint — a critical step for long-term drainage and weed suppression that a lot of crews skip. Then we delivered and spread roughly 15 tons of 1–2" tan river rock, wrapping the full perimeter of the home from the front yard through the side yard and along the fence line.
The result is a cohesive, low-maintenance landscape that holds up through Michigan seasons without demanding anything from the homeowner.
Project Scope:
Concrete Edging Refresh: Existing edges cleaned up and reset for crisp, defined bed lines.
Geotextile Fabric Installation: Non-woven landscape fabric laid throughout for drainage and weed control.
River Rock Installation: ~15 tons of 1–2" tan river rock delivered and spread.
